Volunteering allows you to be part of a team, to learn and increase skills, build meaningful relationships, earn recognition and gain valuable experiences. Not to mention the free RIBS!!!!
Help us our by putting your waste in the proper receptacles located throughout the grounds. We have asked all food vendors to use compostable dishes and utensils, so separate bottle recycling, compost, and garbage bins will be available.

In an effort to maintain a safe, clean, and fun-filled family event, the Grove Rotary Ribfest has a no pets policy. Service animals are welcome but, sorry, no pets are allowed due to health regulations.
Nope. Completely free.
Yes, but the clinicians from 19toZero need to gain your informed consent to give you a vaccine. On a case by case basis, nurses will determine if you are in a state to give that consent. Drink responsibly, vaccinate responsibly!
Both mRNA vaccines approved for use in Canada, Moderna and Pfizer, will be available for first and second doses at Ribfest.
Yes! We have partnered with 19ToZero, a coalition over 500 partner organizations dedicated to boosting your defence against COVID-19 and building confidence in vaccines. Rotary International and the Rotary Club of Spruce Grove believe in the power of vaccines to create a better world for everyone. We have been fighting polio since the 1980's. For us, it was a natural fit to bring a vaccination opportunity to this celebration.
If you have any of these core symptoms, please do not attend the ribfest.
Stay home and limit contact with others until symptoms are gone. Testing is recommended.
The Grove Rotary Ribfest is operating according to all local and provincial public health regulations. As a strictly outdoor event in a community where full vaccination rates are relatively high and at a time when severe illness and hospitalizations due to COVID-19 are very low, we feel that guests will be safe at this event. We encourage you to get fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before the event, to respect each person's wishes about wearing masks and their desire to maintain physical distance, to practice good hygiene, and to stay home if you are symptomatic or have been a close contact with someone who is.
Ribfest is more than just ribs… Click the "Food" link in the menu for an up-to-date listing of the food vendors on site.
Due to a variety of menus being provided by different food vendors, we cannot guarantee the festival site to be peanut free. Be sure to bring your own epi-pen. There will also be first aid on site.
There are a few handicap parking stalls on site and a drop-off zone along Agrena Road. Vehicles displaying a parking placard for people with disabilities will be allowed on-site by traffic control volunteers at the site entrances on Fifth Avenue from the south (past the Spruce Grove Public Library) or King Street from the west. If your vehicle doesn't have a parking placard but you still have people who need to be dropped off on-site (e.g. families with children or people about to be families with children!), please discuss this with the traffic control volunteers.
There is no general parking on site for guests at the event. VIP parking and parking for persons with disabilities IS available on site. General event parking is available at the Brookwood, Woodhaven, and Broxton School parking lots, only a short walk away.
Guests are welcome and encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets to sit on Central Park's grassy areas to view the main stage. Lounge and patio seating will be available in the VIP area. Chairs will be set up on the splash pad area in front of the main stage. Banquet seating will also available in the beer garden and general seating areas near the rib trucks and food trucks.
This is an outdoor festival, so we are open rain or shine!
But in the event of severe weather e.g. lightning, high winds, all activities will cease operations and the grounds will be evacuated until it is safe to resume. It's probably best to bring sunscreen and a poncho or umbrella.
