AFTERSHOCK

AFTERSHOCK is a six-piece female-fronted rock cover band from Edmonton. Playing hits from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and 2000’s, the Richter scale is bound to shake when they hit the stage. Dance and sing along to your favourite foot-tapping tunes, with AFTERSHOCK bringing their high-energy show to feast your eyes and ears on! The powerful lead vocals are perfectly accompanied by backing harmonies and a full band, rocking out the memories from decades past.

Achilles Last Stand

Achilles Last Stand is a Spruce Grove based cover band focused on playing your favorite rock, pop and funk hits from the 1960s to today. Made up of members Corey Haley (vocals), Dan Station (guitar), Matt Schellenberger (guitar), Kris Kowalczyk (bass) and Jason Sider (drums), the band has over 20 years of experience playing venues across western Canada.

Blue Dragon

Blue Dragon is a local band playing Classic Rock, Country and Blues. They have years of playing experience in other projects over the years. The current band has been in place for several years and played at venues in the tri-region. Instruments are Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards. The set list is likely to include songs by Creedence Clearwater, Bad Company, Tom Petty, Alan Jackson, Steve Earle, Fleetwood Mac, The Guess Who, Georgia Satellites Linda Ronstadt, Bryan Adams etc.

Cruz Vallis

Cruz has a sound that is best described as a cross between Chris Stapleton and Zach Bryan. A born artist, Cruz was dancing before he was singing. Though he had dance lessons at an early age, it was his move from his home province of Nova Scotia to Spruce Grove, Alberta that put acting and singing on his resume. He became a long-time member of the drama program, as a triple threat. As a recent graduate of the Victoria School of the Arts, Cruz has positioned himself for a bright future, accepting entrance to the prestigious Vancouver Film School.

FlatBroke is a musical performing duo with a blend of great vocal harmonies and unique musical abilities. They play a mix of classic rock and roll, modern and classic country favourites, and original music.

Hometown Stereo

Hometown Stereo has had crowds clapping, dancing and singing along in the Edmonton area since 2017. The small town boys will draw you in with their powerful harmonies while playing your heart strings with their classic country stories. They have performed their original songs on festival stages and barstools across Alberta.

Laurelai

Laurelai is both a performer and teacher who has played and competed in and around the Edmonton area most of her life. Her debut worship EP, Enough for Me, hit streaming services earlier this year. She finds her stride playing both original material and covers in an indie pop style.

Born in Edmonton, Alberta and raised in nearby Stony Plain, Mandy McMillan has never known a moment when performing wasn’t her destined path and or when musical storytelling wasn’t her chosen language. With a diverse musical personality that organically mixes a country core with a contagious pop energy, Mandy’s open heart and love for people lights up her lyrics and live shows, allowing her to effortlessly form lasting connections with fans on stage or off.

My Dog Sam

My Dog Sam is a professional cover band with a vast diversity of musical genres and years of experience. My Dog Sam has been performing in Alberta for years and goes beyond having a single “style”. They are known for their versatility and flexibility when it comes to musical genres. Genres covered include New Age Rock, Classic Rock, Blues, Country, Swing, Polka, Folk, Reggae, 50's, 60's, 70's and the like. They guarantee a professional performance with positive party energy. There are five members of the band including Michele Aasgard (Keyboards/Vocals), Alan Boechler (Drums/Vocals), Stephane Drisdelle (Guitar/Vocals), Todd Wandio (Guitar/Vocals), and Darcy Shelast (Bass/Vocals). Together they share a love for music and have decades of experience performing, recording, and teaching music.

Robin Cisek

Indigenous Superstars’ 2022, Best Emerging artist, Robin Cisek is a Metis singer/ songwriter who creates melodic electro-pop with an alternative flair. Robin Cisek emerged into her music career after years of struggles with health problems. Robin’s inspiration comes from her experiences and her Indigenous heritage which takes form in her music through concepts, alternative beats and lyrics.

Shaguar

Rockabilly with a tinge of twang , a pinch of punk and a dash of rock.... Shaguar plays danceable mash-ups of radio favorites, a bit of the obscure and some favorite rock tunes with a rockabilly/swing style that makes folks want to get up and shake it. Add cool TV and movie themes and you could be served up anything from Prince to The Cars, maybe a dash of Frampton backed by the Stray Cats for extra flavor. Music served with mojo and swagger, you never know who or what to expect. The Police might even show up, they always do when Tom Jones has gotten drunk again.

Steve Newsome

Steve is a proudly born and raised in Alberta, now based in Stony Plain. After having opened for Brett Kissel, Emerson Drive, and Terri Clark, to name a few, Steve picked up his first ISSA Award in 2019 for Songwriter of the Year and his second in 2020 for Entertainer of the Year. May of 2022 saw Steve release his first duet, Drinking Buddies, with Calgary based Jeff Catto. The project is the first of many, marking the comeback of live music. Steve, also takes on the role co-executive producer for newcomer Cruz Vallis as he gets ready to release his debut single.
